Floor Jansen sings national anthem during F1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix

On 4 September 2022 at 15.00 hours, tens of millions of people worldwide are waiting in anticipation for the start of the second edition of the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort. Just before the start, the world-famous singer Floor Jansen will perform a special version of the Dutch National Anthem for all the fans. The Royal Dutch Air Force Orchestra will accompany the international acclaimed singer. With her music, Jansen has built up millions of followers and is able to entertain fans new and old.

With her long-term career singing in several bands, including Nightwish, and now her solo material, Jansen has built up millions of followers and is able to entertain fans around the world. The Netherlands knows Floor Jansen mainly for her unique performance of The Phantom of the Opera together with opera singer Henk Poort, during one of Netherland’s most popular TV Shows ‘Best Singers’. That year, Jansen also won the Dutch Pop Prize. Her first solo tour, which was announced that same year, sold out in less than 24 hours. Jansen is working on her first solo album, which will be released in March 2023. Last year, her first single "Fire" was released, followed not long after by the hit single "Storm". Jansen will also tour the Netherlands in 2023.

Ready for more, track as a stage

Floor Jansen will perform on the track of the CM.Com Circuit Zandvoort. The organisation, partly due to the success of the previous edition, is 'Ready for more' in 2022. This year, the Dutch Grand Prix will again bring the entertainment live from the track and via 22 large public screens to the seats of the fans.

Floor Jansen is looking forward to it and says:  "I am very honoured to be able to present our national anthem at this global event. I have never followed Formula 1 closely, but I have a lot of respect for the commitment and focus of everyone, especially Max. I hope that my performance of the anthem will give the drivers and fans as much energy as it has given me."

Sports director Jan Lammers is looking forward to the start: "After the success of last year, we want to be an event for young and old and national and international audiences again this year. That concept suits Floor very well. With her amazing voice, she appeals to a very large target group of new and existing fans worldwide and she is able, like no other, to proudly play the Dutch National Anthem to the world. Besides an impressive racing program with F1, F2 F3 and the Porsche Mobile Supercup, music is an important part of our program."
